The builder who answers for the work.
Carlos Calderon founded Calderco in Miami in 2003 as a restoration company, cleaning up and rebuilding homes and businesses after fire and water damage. In 2009 he obtained his Florida general contractor's license, and the firm expanded into remodeling, additions, and ground-up new construction. In 2016 he earned the Certified Restorer (CR) designation from the Restoration Industry Association, the industry's credential for demonstrated knowledge in the restoration field.
His path to building was an unusual one. Carlos began his career in hotel and restaurant management, working in and running resort properties and high-volume corporate hotels before moving into the restoration field. Alongside contracting he spent years as an all-lines adjuster, conducting thousands of property inspections and valuations, and he is retained as a construction expert witness. He knows how a home is put together, how it fails, what it costs to make right, and how each of those questions holds up under scrutiny.
That understanding shapes every Calderco home: built correctly the first time, documented as it goes, and finished to a standard he is willing to defend.
